Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience. We opted for the 12-course menu, however, my son-in-law's dishes from the à la carte menu were delayed significantly. Dessert was a yuzu-flavored dish, but it was hard to taste the yuzu. The waitress was attentive. My cocktail had an overpowering ginger flavor. The restroom was clean. The espresso coffee was both expensive and served cold. It was not a terrible meal, but... View all feedback.
What Roam62165028880 doesn't like about The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield Thai:
Extremely expensive for the food we received,so dark we had to use a phone torch to see menu and food. Toilet so dark I do find the wash basin . Don't go unless you want to be fleeced! View all feedback.
We had 12 courses sharing platter, every single dish reach our expectations, very friendly and warm service received from Rachel, accompanied by nice cocktails. We will definitely come back here. Thank you everyone for making our day special.
I took my mum for lunch NYE, the table was poor, right in front of the servers station although we were the first guests. As others mentioned considering the prices, the food is average. One of the dishes we ordered was the black cod. My half had 6 large fish bones, over an inch long and most of them thick. I’ve eaten this dish around the world and it was the worst prepared and tasting I have experienced. I told the waiting staff, the kitchen apologised. I was slapped with a 13.5% service charge to boot. I emailed the manager, Frank Stanford, who said bones can be in the dish, sure but not that many large ones, it was very unpleasant to eat. I replied that his answer wasn’t satisfactory to me, no response since. Won’t go back, could have had a much better meal, ambiance and service elsewhere
I love Thai food so I was expecting big things from the 12 dish experience I bought from virgin experience however most of the dishes weren't that flavourful and we left feeling slightly disappointed. They also had hidden costs on top of the voucher by adding on a service charge. We paid the service charge but to be honest service was slow and they were clearly understaffed. It was fine overall but overpriced for what it is.
First time I’ve put my faith in a restaurant to do my Christmas Dinner. Due to house renovations we decided to do Christmas dinner out and as we’ve always had a great experience at Crazy Bear we tried them for Christmas Dinner. Amazing food, service and staff. Thank you to all the chefs and waiting team who delivered an exceptional Christmas Day experience.
Our group of six went to this restaurant for a celebration. The first thing we noticed was the loud music. When we asked for it to be turned down so we could talk, we were told it was controlled by the hotel next door. Some of the music was fine, but it made it hard to have a conversation. One drink was forgotten until we reminded the staff, and one of our main courses was missing. The food was decent, but more of a Thai style than authentic Thai – for example, they served lamb jungle curry, which is not typical in Thailand. The prices were high and we were surprised by the mandatory 13.5% service charge. With drinks, our lunch ended up costing over £80 per person. The decor was unique but a bit odd. Overall, our experience was nothing special and we felt the restaurant was overpriced.
