Contribute FeedbackDespite mixed reviews, The Black Horse restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. While some customers were disappointed with the slow service and lack of cleanliness, others praised the delicious food and great selection of drinks, especially the Abbot Ale. The restaurant seemed to attract a lot of families, which could be a drawback for those looking for a quieter dining experience. Overall, it seems to be a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, with some room for improvement in certain areas.
Food was good and generous portions but a bit overpriced as were the drinks.
Such a shame that the main courses were so overpriced and bland. Service was fine but the noise level and ambiance made the experience poor . My chicken burger was chewy and my husband’s scampi and chips came with no vegetables for £16 ! Starters were overpriced Mezze board but very nice.
Great staff. Food, beautiful and tasty. Not rushed at all. Good dining experience all round.
Lovely food. Gluten free requirements easily accounted for. Attentive service.
Outstanding food as always and great service. Garden area is lovely with outside bar.
