Personally, I really like this shoprite, always with a good selection of everything you can imagine in a grocery store. However, a week ago, a very strict policy regarding self-service check-outs was implemented. Therefore, many of these were closed, and those that are open never function properly. The scale on the counter where the products must be placed never matches the right amount, making it necessary to call t... View all feedback.
What Ashley Nicole doesn't like about Shoprite Of South Brunswick At Heritage Plaza:
I come to this ShopRite way too often to have 4 self check out employees just staring at me especially when all of the other registers are being occupied by other customers View all feedback.
Do NOT eat their salad bar!!! I got some greens from their salad bar on Tuesday Aug 1st 2023, which was the only meal I ate by myself within past several days. I started to feel uncomfortable on Tuesday night, eventually turned out to be a really bad stomach flu. Have called out for 2 days. For your own safety, avoid their salad bar!
This place has a large variety of named brand food. Their pre cooked food is delicious . Every time I go there I spend over an hour between shopping and looking around.
Lots of good choices along with the normal every day items.

Saker owned World Class ShopRites are the worst. I have been to a few of theirs in the area and they are all the same. This South Brunswick location has the worst produce department, they seriously need to get a new produce manager. Week after week, I keep finding rotten loose tomatoes and container tomatoes with mold. (see photo) The bagged lettuce is always full of water like they have been left out in room temperature (more on this below) and if you find a good one with a good date, it doesn 't last longer than a day in your fridge. You can see fruit flies flying around the lacking fruit section. I have given up trying to purchase produce here. The bakery department, which seems all outsourced, doesn 't have a good selection of items compared to other grocery stores. Last December, they had stacks of burnt pies out for sale. Really? (see photo) Honestly, just take a trip to the non Saker owned Village ShopRite in Hillsborough or Stop Shop in Franklin and you can see the difference. The overall store layout is confusing and lacking variety. If you shop at night, head over to the dairy and frozen section to see new perishable stock just sitting on the floor at room temperature for hours, defrosting and spoiling until the 1 employee eventually gets to that isle to start putting the items away. Lastly, I can 't be the only one annoyed of the textured tile flooring in the deli and bakery section. It gets so loud with all the shopping carts banging and rattling all around. There are people that are sensitive to sound so why even make that choice of flooring? I dread having to go here to pick something up. My friends and family all agree that they rather go to Target or Aldi, which is in the same complex, to buy their groceries.
