Contribute FeedbackIn Wiarton, Pacific Hotel offers a mixed experience; while some guests found the renovated rooms and fantastic food to be great, others complained about issues with the accommodations and restaurant. The dining room serves up good fish and chips while also providing courteous service. However, the cottage accommodations have some mixed reviews with views of Colpoys Bay, clean rooms, and friendly hosts going up against concerns about the state of the cottages and lack of certain amenities. Overall, it seems like a hit or miss, but those who have a good experience highly recommend it.
The jerk chicken is out of this world awesome. owner is very friendly and atmosphere pleasant..especially the outdoor patio.
My sister and I dropped into the iconic Pacific for a fish and chip lunch after a round of golf. my sister's first visit. my first in twenty years. it was like coming home to the local pub.we had lunch at the bar so we could chat with Yvonne and Ivan. catching up on the Pacific's latest and future developments. very pleased with great fish and chips and hospitality. it was like coming home to the Pacific. good luck you guys! will be back.
We booked two rooms at the Pacific Inn, with 3 people to a room. Each suite was spacious, clean and extremely well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the pull out couch was decent as well.Check in time was 4, but the lovely concierge let us check in around 2 after a long drive in. The staff was warm and friendly, and the inn has a nice old-timey feel in shared spaces. The suites were renovated. The building itself was quite warm but multiple AC units in the suites made them very comfortable. The Inn was about a 40 minute walk to the Bruce Peninsula National Park. I would highly recommend this place!
We were a party of 8 people and had trouble getting seats in downtown Wiarton, so we took a chance on the dining room in Pacific Hotel. Most of us took the fish and chips specific, which turned out to be very good. The service was courteous and friendly. The dining area and washrooms are clean, and it can accommodate large groups. The menu has a wide selection. Will definitely dine here again.
We booked two nights in a two-bedroom bayshore cottage associated with the Pacific Inn. Due to a booking mixup we were placd in cottage 4, a three bedroom self contained house located 10 minutes from town. The views of Colpoys Bay and the escarpment were splendid; the house was walking distance to the shore, and very quiet. While bedding was new and colorful , there were no mattress covers provided. Plenty of towels and hot water; but soaps and shampoos so-so. Kitchen well equiped, but garbage area needs a thorough scrub. Location superb, but house is tired.
