The first time you've been eating here since it was the Oaken Bucket. I had my reservations here eating because of previous negative experiences among different owners. My wife and I sung here last night (11.20.21) at 17:00. The restaurant was not busy at all (Notre Dame played GT) and we were greeted by a very friendly female server that told us we were sitting somewhere and she would follow us. We had both “The Buc... The food was mediocre at best. I had higher expectations for a restaurant owned by Navarre. The pimento/beer cheese dip was decent, but my fish tacos tasted like they were made with low-quality fish. The salad was average, and while the pasta was plentiful for $15, it was nothing exceptional. The clam chowder was just average. The sticky table was a turn off for me. On Wednesday night, we decided to visit the restaurant but unfortunately, it was a scorching hot 101-degree day. Upon entering, we found out that the air conditioning was not working. The hostess advised us that there were plenty of seats on the deck, but we found there were actually none available. Unfortunately, we had to go somewhere else. The food smelled delicious and the staff were friendly, but it was just not a good night to be there.

The food looked appetizing, but tasted average. The tiki burger lacked enough sauce for flavor, and the smash burger did not live up to its name. The standout dish was the sweet potato fries, which had a perfect crispy exterior and soft interior - a delightful combination of textures and flavors. I didn't try the root beer float, but noticed they use Triple X root beer, so it seems promising. Overall, this restaurant is not terrible and the prices are reasonable. However, if you're looking to indulge, I would recommend trying out Vinyl Tap for a truly delicious experience.
First timer, and I was very happy with this place. It holds surprises. Go! For me hands down this place, South Bends is best kept secret. atmosphere, great service, wonderful food, landscape, etc. I enjoyed myself. Thank you.
Great setting, awesome food! Bucket sauce is the bomb! Really nice staff, great place to eat, highly recommended!
