O'rourke's Public House - South Bend

We initially had some doubts, but the food ended up being fantastic. The ambiance was perfect, the meals were delicious (especially the fish and chips), and our server, Makenna, was excellent and delightful to interact with - we were lucky to be seated in her section! For dessert, I highly recommend the bread pudding.

Even though our waitress Jess was extremely attentive and checked in frequently to ensure our satisfaction, the food was the real star of the show. I highly recommend trying the wings, specifically the honey sriracha flavor. Additionally, the sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious and a must-try.

I had a fantastic experience at O'Rourke. After spending the day with my family at Notre Dame, we decided to dine at this charming pub to end the day on a high note. The server was friendly and the food was excellent! I enjoyed an Octoberfest beer that was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

Eating was really good, better than this review, but the service was sub par of the second we went in the door. They were not busy tonight. on the second thought was the mac and the cheese dry and felt as if he was sitting in the window. even if it were fresh, the ratio of mac would not have worked. it was a large bowl of noodles with a hauch cheese sauce. the host was distracted by his phone, then others on the personal. we finally sat there and saw the show of the staff just a good time. our server was nice and friendly, just seemed to run in circles as if she was really busy, but I'm pretty sure she had only us and 1 other table. maybe it will try again sometime, only hope management gets the place in order.

Nice bar. Pretty busy for a Sat afternoon in January. Wedding party I was with called ahead and was told there was an open back room but when we arrived with the bride and groom, no back room was offered. Place was busy and may have been short staffed as well. Servers were a bit hard to catch but very attentive when we ordered drinks and some food. Music was a bit loud for our tastes but didn't seem to bother anyone else. Would like to visit again.
