Eggology Cafe - South Barrington

You should be absolutely ashamed in your business. When they were open, I dined here a handful of times. The food was always good, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. For these reasons, I bought my parents a $100 gift card to Eggology for Christmas. As we all know, Eggology closed “temporarily” shortly after the new year. My parents never got to use their gift card. I thought Eggology was supposed to re-open in July, but that has come and gone and another several months later, there is no reopen date in sight. When I try to reach out to them, their phone number has been disconnected and their email address bounces back. I messaged them a handful of times on Facebook. The messages were read. Unfortunately, their solution is to simply block me on Facebook instead of offering a refund or addressing me at all. This is how you treat your customers? The customers who visited you multiple times when you were open and tried supporting your business with a gift card. You block them on social media instead of offering a solution? If this business ever reopens, which looks highly doubtful at this point, I absolutely will not be a patron ever again. This is deplorable management and customer service. The gift card charge has been disputed on my credit card statement. Service: 1

I'm going to give it one star.The food was good when it was open,but their lack of communication is terrible.I have over $200 in gift cards from this place.A simple if and when they are opening is all I ask.Absolutely no response.It's really a strange deal.Personally, I'm afraid they will never reopen. If they had an intention,there would be regular updates. From reading the internet, they previously had an arson fire. So anybody know the real story here? Any kind of repairs that were needed would clearly have been completed by now. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

When do you guys plan to re-open? I miss my favorite breakfast and delicious coffee!

When are you guys opening? Or are you even? Update: I really like this place. I couldnt wait to for them to open again, but I dont see them opening happening I have messaged them on fb to see when they will open, the person said later this summer we are nearing end of august lol I messaged them again about three times and every single time someone just reads the message and never responds. Lol
