What Scottish Hidden Gems doesn't like about Jim Jack's:
Quite pricey for what you actually get, the chips were lovely but the pizza had hardly any cheese on it and was extremely oily. Everything was a but too salty. Not the best chippy I've ever had, wouldn't rush back! View all feedback. What AlllyS likes about Jim Jack's:

While many commend its delicious fish and chips, highlighting crispy, expertly cooked offerings and efficient service, others express disappointment over inconsistent quality, particularly regarding the batter and chip texture. Some describe larger portions as reasonably priced, while others find the menu limited and feel let down by recent experiences. Nevertheless, the establishment remains popular among locals and tourists alike, boasting a clean environment and a vibrant atmosphere. With loyal customers vowing to return, it continues to draw a steady crowd, reinforcing its reputation in the area.

read moreWorst haggis supper ever! The haggis had no taste and the texture was just like a sausage. Although there was a lot of chips they were pretty chewy.
Bought fish suppers here while staying at Craig Tara. The haddock fillets were massive and delicious. Unfortunately the chips were hard and difficult to chew.
