Despite the other reviews on here, I actually find this place pretty good. The prices are cheap and the food portion sizes are large which is exactly what you want from a takeaway. I only ever occasionally pop in for some veggie or mushroom pakora and it's always been fine. Also, unlike other takeaways in Ayr, this place also has a seating area so you don't have to walk about newton on ayr with rain pouring down into... View all feedback.

Food was over an hour late so I called the restaurant asking for an update. The man who answered claimed the driver had already been out and couldn 't find the house so left. My phone number is provided on this website so as many delivery drivers have had to do in the past they could 've phoned me and asked for directions or at least notified me that my food was no longer being delivered. It wasn 't until I phoned THEM that they asked me if I still wanted my food, and I said yes due to waiting 2 HOURS since ordering from JustEat. I also had to provide them with my number as they apparently can 't work the company website they a part of. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. Not to mention that when I did phone, the man who answered was extremely rude and acting as if it was MY fault, and hung up prematurely when I was in the middle of asking him something. He then phoned me again and, again, hung up prematurely whilst I was talking. This was my first AND LAST time I have ever been here. I will never be returning to this restaurant again, no matter the quality of the food as this has upset me a whole lot. Update: Food was meant to arrive at 8:40pm but didn 't arrive until 10:00pm. It is lukewarm and average at best. Ordered ice cream and it was liquid by the time it got here. Safe to say, my worst experience on JustEat ever.
Food was not pleasent at all from this cafe, I ordered a curry and it turned out to be a slimey substance of some unknown kind, flavour was very sour, chicken tikka tasted like a pencil rubber that's how bad it really was. I had ordered the chicken tikka bhoona, but the colour was red and a sour soupy taste. My partner tasted and I had one spoonful of this unknown curry which was supposed to be a chicken tikka bhoona and knew straight away that something was not right at all. Chicken tikka one bite could not break it at all. Think the chicken tikka was still alive. My partner had a korma dish she did not eat that due to the lack of flavour. We been out all day we had wasted our money in this place, a meal from tesco would of been much better. I understand this is a cafe but nothing make sense to even serve this rubbish not even to animal. Drinks were the only decent thing on the menu can of cola tasted good but of course I checked the date on the can just to be extra sure. Naan bread had a musky smell coming from the bread it was undercooked, just avoid this cafe and its lazy chef.
Just had a take away from desi curry and me and my partner will not order from them again, we got the lunch time special and the food was not fit for an animal to eat, the grease of the the chicken was unbelievable it was that bad it hard burned the carton it came in and was dripping through, the vegetable pakora was even worse had literally 4 tiny little bites also covered in grease. I honestly have no idea why this place is still up and running as when we phoned to make a complaint the guy that answered was arrogant and ignorant. Best thing about it was the ice cream and even at that the portions are very little DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY VILE !!!
We tried this on the off chance as had heard from someone that it was worth a try. The Biryanis were just rice with a sprinkling of chicken, none of the usual herbs and spices. The vegetable curry was oily and sour and inedible. Another curry tasted off and it to went in the bin. The large Nan had a piece of old meat attached to it. 2 of the 4 of us were ill the following day. To add to that half the order was missing, which in retrospect was probably an advantage). Given 1 star because there's no option to give less.
My colleague and I decided to try Desi Curry for lunch today, being only a short walk from work. I had the 'lunch special ', soup followed by a lamb curry with naan bread. The type of soup is yet to be identified, this was a pale sickly looking concoction which neither of us attempted to try (hope the drains don 't suffer too much!! . The 'lamb curry ' when it was alive it would have moo 'd rather than baa 'd, certainly no lamb in sight!! On the plus side the naan was palatable, or maybe this was because the rest was so dismal. We were not expecting a gourmet experience, however, this is somewhere that we would never recommend.
