We had a great time at our afternoon tea. The staff was very accommodating to our children and seated us earlier than our reservation. The food was delicious and we had lots of extra treats to share on our tray. View all feedback.
What Karen B doesn't like about Afternoon Tea At Arran:
We used to stay at this restaurant frequently, but now I would be cautious about it. Is it a case of a once good establishment gone bad? Perhaps, but improvements are needed or the costly refurbishment will be in vain. The quality of the food may be inconsistent, but the service is usually good. However, when both the food and service are poor, it's a disappointment. View all feedback.
The hotel is in desperate need of a significant upgrade. The new owners have not invested in the property, resulting in an understaffed and disappointing experience.

Had our Tea here one of the nights and it was a nice meal, in lovely surroundings and with a beautiful view. I had vision's of it being a very formal area but it turned out to be very relaxing and the prices were reasonable. I would return again
Still the same hotel, still the same extraordinary views, still a relaxing and unhurried atmosphere. So, what has changed. In my opinion the main difference is the friendliness of the staff. Probably the missing piece of the jigsaw. Had afternoon tea here yesterday and really enjoyed it. If you used to visit in the past and haven't been for a while, now is the time to return.
Located within the Marine Hotel, Troon a pleasant atmosphere with in the Arran Bar aptly named because the hotel itself faces the island of Arran, tea was piping hot which to us is important with the usual offerings that you get when ordering afternoon tea.
