We sat out side and... read more We were en route to Port Renfrew from Sooke and stopped here for lunch. They were out of soup but had lovely sandwich and raspberry oat bar. We sat out side and watched local scene of hippie/surfer/backpacker culture pass by. Lovely outdoor space.

We made a pit stop on our way to Port Renfrew and enjoyed some delicious hot coffee and snacks. The location is perfect for a quick break. A must-visit spot!

The staff was friendly, the menu was straightforward, and the pastry display case was impressive. We tried the chickpea curry soup, the flatbread with Brie and tomato, a sausage roll, and an apple turnover. Everything was delicious, although I found the glaze on the apple turnover to be a bit overpowering - I suspect it was almond extract. Despite this, I appreciated the flavor, though I felt there was a bit too much glaze for my liking. The pastry was excellent and the filling, with the peel left on the apples, had a rustic quality to it.
