Reviews - Buffy's Pub
Reviews summary
Buffy's in Sooke, BC has gained popularity as a go-to spot for fish & chips, but reviews are mixed. Some find the food average and lacking freshness, while others praise the chicken and prawn curry and halibut and chips. The mussels are a hit despite being overly salty. Service varies from friendly and fast to inaccurate and despite some hiccups, the staff are willing to make amends. The ambiance is great, with a fantastic view and excellent service from Pony the bartender. Overall, Buffy's offers a mix of hits and misses, but the unique dishes and friendly atmosphere keep customers coming back.

What Tom O'Connor dislikes about Buffy's Pub:
My wife and I went there for a drink one night. It must have been in the middle of renovations. We had a drink as the kitchen was closed. I believe it was just after 9 pm.We weren’t seated at the bar but the amount of flies were unbelievable. The bartender commented that the amount of flies wasn’t bad. If we were sitting on a patio, I would have agreed with her. They definitely need to have their draught lines flushe... View all feedback.

I like this pub in Sooke BC. Especially on Wednesdays when they have the Two burgers with fries or salad for $12.95. They even have great prices for their craft beers. Nice friendly service too.

The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic, with plenty of light and a stunning view. The bartender, Pony, provided excellent service and we even had the pleasure of meeting the owner.
They have officially earned the title of the "saltiest dish ever". It seems like they accidentally spilled an entire box of salt into the mussel broth. It was extremely unpleasant.
Food was ok- typical pub fare- if you managed to get what you ordered. I was there as part of a large part- they were expecting us, and most orders were incorrect in one way (or many). The manager DID buy us a round of drinks in effort to make it right, which was appreciated.
If you're not a familiar customer, you may be overlooked at this restaurant. There are many better dining options in Sooke.
