The Depot Sonoma

The food and setting was amazing. Every dish served had a unique and flavorful taste. We all thought it was the best dinner where everyone at the table their selections.

Got married at Depot 22 years ago. We go every year for our anniversary but had not since the restaurant changed ownership. For us, it’s a shell of its former self and lost a lot of its family feel. Food was ok as well as the price, not as good as prior chef. When we went previously, the staff knowing it’s our anniversary would do something small like put rose petals on the table, comp us a glass of champagne, or desert. Nothing even though I put on our reservation about having married there and our yearly tradition. Seemed very transactional. Disappointed and looks like we will need to find a new anniversary tradition. We’re be in no rush to go back. Sad…

Fabulous food. Everything was delicious. Beautiful outdoor setting. The tables were far enough apart to offer some privacy (unlike many restaurants these days where the tables are extremely close). The best part was the outstanding service. Since covid I've gotten used to poor service even in upscale, fancy restaurants. Not only was the staff uniformly pleasant, courteous, personable and knowledgeable, but they were attentive without being overly intrusive into our conversation. Also, we did not feel rushed through the meal. The food was served in a reasonable amount of time and the different courses were paced perfectly. We will be back!

Went for Pizza Pino, dinner was okay, short wine poor. Waiter was EXCELLENT
