We had a tour of Charlie’s Acres a couple months ago. Very cool place to visit farm animals. There’s horses, pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, goats and a few more animals. The goats and pigs seemed to be having the most fun. We learned about the various animals and where they came from and part of their life story. If you want to visit or hopefully volunteer check them out.
It is highly recommended to take a tour of the farm, where 120 rescued farm animals are living their best life!
This place is a little oasis of positivity with a charming and inviting central area. The pathway leading up to the central building is lined with beautiful flower and vegetable beds. Inside, there is a wealth of information about the impact of animal agriculture on the world and the animals themselves. There are plenty of displays to explore and learn from. They also have a small shop where you can buy merchandise and products like alternative "meats" and Miyoko's cheeses. Outside, there are spacious enclosures for different animals that appear to be well looked after. It's a fantastic place that is doing important work!
This restaurant is a lovely spot for rescued farm animals and volunteers! Perfect for supporting Veganuary.
During my vacation, I visited this restaurant as part of a community tour. I had the opportunity to meet numerous amazing animals and hear their stories. As a vegan already, I appreciated the strong message promoting a vegan lifestyle throughout the experience, which was presented in a non-pushy manner. Meeting the animals truly made it impossible not to develop a deep sense of fondness for them.
