We recently moved to Sonoma, and we experienced Cafe La Haye for the first-time last night. Loved the atmosphere of the Cafe La Haye. The menu and wine lists are terrific. We shared a starter, had great salads, and the entrees were delicious. Our server was awesome, and we look forward to our return visit (and they offer bar seating, which we enjoy also). What flotown doesn't like about Cafe La Haye:
For the rating of a Michelin star restaurant I was a little disappointed with the flavors of the meals. They definitely stick to fresh options and limit their offerings accordingly which is a plus. Taste was a little bland for me and I would have liked a little more flavor in my sole. Son had quail which was good. Husband had the tagliatelle pasta which was okay. Pappardelle pasta had too much oil on it. it was not necessary because the pasta was fresh and tasty. it was throttled in oil.
This was recommended by 2 locals. we have a last minute reservation and canceled and existing, and we are not disappointed. we're coming back.
Eating was amazing, and sol the owner comes to the tables to check with his guests. wonderful place and always good!
Cafe la haye was the best dinning experience we ever had. the owner and the employees were very cordial of the time we entered the place. the service was excellent, and eating was incredible. the fillet mignon and pork chops were perfectly cooked and beside dishes were delicious. we will definitely return more frequently from Southern California.
Food was extraordinary. Wait staff was knowledgeable and gave helpful advice. Sommelier was chatty and helpful. It is expensive but damn is it delicious!
