What User doesn't like about Sansavino:
Probably most authentic Italian restaurant in sommieres. Present tomato mozzarella. Tomatoes had little taste. Portion was sufficient as main dish. Head switch pastas. Beautiful all the pine but sauces missed herb. wine was good, local and affordable. View all feedback.
In principle, this restaurant, set in a gorgeous square and very welcoming, should be the number one choice. Over the years we 've eaten here a dozen times and always waited too long for any attention, and for food delivery, and been constantly surprised at how they can charge that much for so-so food. So with new friends in town we tried it for lunch. Charming greeting, and all seemed OK, especially as there were only 4 other tables. We ordered quickly, and then the WAIT commenced. Nearly an hour for 2 salads and 2 basic pastas. I even went and asked for a bread basket, of which there were many inside waiting to go, but which we were never offered. When the waitress brought it she said in a scolding manner that we should not fill up on bread. (Agreed, if the food had come out in a timely manner, and this was 40 minutes into the wait! So almost an hour after we ordered it the food arrived and when I muttered at last she said oh you must be really hungry! . So their delays were really our weaknesses!! Amazing. The food is just OK, the prices insane in this area where you can get a fine 3 course meal for 28 Euros (the price of their swordfish alone at lunch even! With only 4 other tables who had all been served, one wonders what the crowded evenings will be like. We won 't be going back again to find out. And just a word to the wise: the lightweight folding chairs outside are flimsy and missing parts and supports/really hazardous. The wait staff moved the dilapidated ones at our table and just put them on other tables. These should just be thrown out/they are not repairable. I hope they have good insurance!
We stumbled upon this busy restaurant and was given a great welcome by Thomas. We strolled around the town and decided to go back to see Thomas who explained the whole menu in English. Great starter is the veal and tuna speciality and my daughter loved her pork and cream pasta. Very reasonable prices. Marion the owner chatted away to us for ages when she had plenty to do. Marion is front of house and husband came out to explain the dishes as he is the chef. Definitely worth a visit.
We had lunch here and it was excellent. They were very busy but it was worth the wait! we will return to dine there again during this trip, top quality!
Cuisine raffinée et délicieuse, accueil agréable d'une équipe qui à l'air heureuse de voir. Je recommande vivement !
Bone nourriture mai un peu cher. Le service est impeccable
