I knew the... read more My partner and I were staying at the hotel for the last night on our holiday. We decided to go to the restaurant as there wasn't much choice around. I knew the menu was going to be bit more expensive but we were expecting a lot more choice and much better service then we got. Firstly, the servers were too busy speaking to one another and didn't seem interested in serving us. The menu was very limited. The drinks menu was all wine, no other alcoholic or soft drinks mentioned. We asked for cokes and they had to go to the bar but when another couple asked they got a bottle from the restaurant. Very confusing. The food menu, although there was choice ,the majority of the food contained fish and expensive ingredients. All we wanted was something a bit simpler. The dishes that we did get were lovely and tasted great but lasted 2mins. The portions were incredibly small for the price. In the end, we only had 1 course and 1 drink each. We ended up going to the bar/shop and buying snacks and drinks from there. A very disappointing end to our holiday.

The place is classic, with the decor of a high-end restaurant. Excellent service, expert and attentive. Good menu. We weren't entirely satisfied with the execution. The tartare was good, the bigoli cacio e pepe, I think, had cream in it, and the cutlet was very thick and the breading was falling off. Decent.
