I?ve been here a few times over the past few years. My most recent visit was a take out order for some beef rendang it was definitely the best rendang I?ve had stateside. I also found it even tastier the next day. I lived in SE Asia for a year (Singapore) and find the flavors here pretty authentic. I also enjoy the opportunity to support the awesome Indonesian community in Somersworth when I can. View all feedback.
What Pam Martorano doesn't like about Bali Sate House:
Ordered 4 dinner items for takeout. Order was 30 minutes late. Restaurant said they were having computer problems but other take out customers did not have to wait. Found 4 large hairs in our food order, very disappointing. I will not go here again!! View all feedback.

The takeout was delicious and the portions were generous! I even had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, which is always a plus. I'm definitely eager to try the entire menu!
There's another excellent Indonesian restaurant nearby. Their satay is the best. Additionally, the restaurant features a small Indonesian grocery store selling a variety of items, such as Ceres chocolate sprinkles and Wisman butter. I highly recommend visiting this place!
The Nasi Goreng was flavourful and perfect, but I had to wait an hour even though they said the food would be ready in 30 minutes. (Not a big deal for some people, but I live several hours away and had to drive in the dark as a result of this wait. The ambience is lacking so be sure to get take-out only.
We had a delightful late lunch at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, with each dish cooked separately and served as it was ready. The satay was juicy and flavorful, and we opted for one sweet and one spicy option. The spicy one didn't pack much heat, possibly because one person in our group isn't a fan of spice. We ordered three different dishes, and each one was superb. The soup was delicious, and the homemade pickles served alongside the noodles were incredible. The spicy potatoes paired with the incredibly tender steak were a highlight. I highly recommend checking out this place; it was truly fabulous!
