The Belgian Cafe was a delightful stop during our road trip to test the range on our Tesla. Located conveniently, it offered a cozy atmosphere perfect for a Sunday breakfast. Rudest staff ever. We arrived when restaurant was empty. I was upfront and informed the hostess that only 5 out of party of 8 would order food (kids were not hungry). She refused to seat us because of that, rudely stating it was a restaurant policy to only seat people that are ordering. She wanted us to leave kids outside. Seriously? Do not go there ! Food was ok, service wasn't good, our server never came back to offer more coffee or water and it was hot, the veggies on my crepe were over cooked mushy, it was about $60 for 3 people
Charming atmosphere. Seats available indoor and outdoor. Variety of delicious dishes. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Prices are reasonable.
The service was pretty terrible. We arrived and said there would be 5 total, the other 3 were on their way. She said “okay” and walked away. When the rest of the group arrived, we went up again and they seated us. I understand the practice of not seating the party until everyone’s there, but the restaurant was pretty empty on the inside and she didn’t communicate it with us. Then the waitress was pretty rude and short with us the whole time, we never got refills on our coffee, and she came back to ask how everything tasted once we were completely finished with our food. The food was mediocre, at best. We got the Stars and Stripes waffle, crepes fraises, an omelette, and a few fruit cups. Everyone had the same consensus that it was okay, but we wouldn’t return. Super disappointed!
WOW! this was is delicious!! I had the rib eye and eggs breakfast. Best stake i had so far. it was so good! great services. My wife and i both enjoy this place.
Another great experience in Solvang.Walk around. You will find something to please.
