I would recommend going there for lunch. The atmosphere was also good, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 4 out of 5. I recommend trying the Carvery dish.

Upon entering, we had to wait to b... read more I'm disappointed to say that since the renovation, we have visited the Knowle Toby three times. The last visit was the worst. Upon entering, we had to wait to be seated. Last Saturday, we waited over 10 minutes to be seated. There was only one person looking after the tables. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I had to ask if we could go straight up to get our food. It was then that they took our drink order. The carvery area was not clearly marked, and some people were going through the exit instead of the entrance. The quality of the food has been decreasing, and the amount of meat served is inconsistent. When we returned to our table, we found that the food was lukewarm. We are not ones to complain in order to get a free meal. I find it unprofessional for employees to talk about work while guests are eating. It took a long time and a second request to receive the bill after we had asked for it.
