Description

Three Trees is at the heart of the Chelmsley Wood community, located within the new village hub at Chelmund’s Cross. Housed in the former Baptist Church, our centre has been transformed and renamed as part of significant renovations to better serve local residents. As an independent community centre, we proudly operate without council or government funding, relying on the support and involvement of the people we serve. Our calendar is packed with a variety of weekly activities and special events, catering to different interests and needs. While some groups require referrals or have limited spaces, we encourage you to get in touch or drop by—there’s always something happening, and we’d love to welcome you. Within Three Trees, you’ll find 3 Beans, an independent café with a strong social mission. Dedicated to employing local people and sourcing ethically, 3 Beans takes pride in serving the best coffee around, freshly roasted and expertly crafted. Open weekdays from 8.30am to 3.00pm, it’s the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Our community centre offers versatile meeting rooms that host a broad spectrum of activities—from training sessions and support organisations to kids’ clubs, music, exercise, martial arts, and conferences. Often, multiple groups share the space simultaneously, reflecting the vibrant and diverse spirit of our community. At Three Trees, we believe that when people come together, great things happen—after all, 1 1 3 when it comes to community action. We invite you to be a part of it.

I strayed across this Community Cafe last week, having been diverted from a closure of the M6 Motorway, just when my party of four needed lunchtime sustenance. It is part of a social development which is progressing well and seems an absolute 'boon ' to the locality. We ordered simple food of Fish and Chips (2) and Panninis (2), along with teas and coffee and the food arrived freshly cooked within very good time. Very friendly and helpful staff added to the experience and the final cost of circa: £20 for four quick lunchtime snacks was pleasantly surprising. The Cafe was well populated for 2pm in the afternoon and it deserves special mention for its innovation, concept and, most especially, its food this Cafe needs to be 'on the map ' and I am very happy to say, 'I 've been there it 's very commendable ' !

I go to the Slimming World group here,

Great venue for all different types of events. Cafe makes lovely food, particularly breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches. Staff were very pleasant. Excellent value for money. Food was served quickly and came nice and hot. Only one criticism, needs more seating/bigger seating area
