Having been here numerous times in the past, I was surprised by the unexpected price increase. Having said that, the food was just as delicious, although there was less than I remember. A very pleasant experience but I doubt I'll rush back I'm afraid. View all feedback.

We have booked for a special 70th birthday party for my mother. we informed the team on the phone of our special nutritional requirements, 5* vegan, and were extremely disappointed when we arrived and ordered that our special requirements could not be met as they had no record. we have been offered vegan sandwiches, but as most will appreciate, they have no afternoon tea for the sandwiches! While we appreciate that it wasn't the server error, the customer service was bad and we felt like we were in the wrong! even if we could see that the drinks were made and we asked the free (in our wasted 30 minutes drive), we were told that they were not ready! it has ruined our special day that our small child has cried all the way to home and we will not come back.
After visiting the tee room in 2021 and having a nice afternoon, I was given a champagne night tea voucher that was extended due to the original coronavirus lockdown. I was told that the voucher is extended for 12 mths. during July...Lockdown I received a first treatment for cancer and remained isolated due to the operation despite the restrictions. when we approached the festive period, I was well cured and hoped to book the afternoon after I had given it all clear. when we entered the new year, I noticed that the voucher had been extended to the 1st january 2022 instead of february 2022. (the event was closed until the 4th januar) I contacted the venue after I had realized this and was informed that the teeroom was no longer part of the laura ashley group and could not extend it despite the circumstances a good certificate or help. I felt incredibly disappointed. good customer service would dictate that all live bookings (we had the first confirmation that the goodwill remained live) would be accompanied by changes to the administration etc. by a friendly email, with this, I would have been safe over the status of the goodwill and if it could be used by friends or family members around the tea rooms festive closure. disable communication and customer service
I ate with the girls. we had a nice afternoon everything was fresh and well presented. the lady who served us was attentive and friendly. a welcome place to visit
Again was visited several times, but so disappointed this time. we assumed that the price would have risen, but the afternoon tee warns a patch on earlier visit, a few paltry sandwiches nice but nothing special and definitiw no refills allowed this time. tee or coffee only. once again no refills, unless they pay extra we all agreed to a scoone would have been a lot with a few extra sandwiches instead, service was good, we were just those in it cost £96 for 3 average afternoon tea and 2 prosecco really sad because always beautiful before
We booked afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. The hotel grounds themselves are beautiful tough the tea room looks a little aged could do with an update. We were seated given menus chose out hot drinks which actually took nearly 40 mins...to arrive. There were not as many waiting staff as there should have been which was disappointing considering we booked in advance. I write this review two months after having visited the only thing that was memorable was the coronation chicken wraps. Two of our diners do not eat smoked salmon which I added to our booking we were offered no substitutes which was disappointing. The menu states that scones come with lemon curd which they didn’t to try get the waiting staffs attention proved rather difficult. All in all, a disappointing experience especially given the birthday celebration which again was no acknowledged despite adding this to the booking form.
