The hotel is very nice and clean. But the hotel is noisy. Specially at mornings you can hear everything from first floor restaurant and it’s hard to sleep. They have good free offers, such as messages. View all feedback.
Adrian looked after us very nicely. Lovely meal, tasty and tender. Served promptly.
We just ate at the Asiatico restaurant at Reef 28 and as usual it blew us away. We ordered the beef satay, chicken wonton, spring rolls, and the prawns to start (we were really hungry after the awesome massages we got here). Everything was ridiculously good. Then for main course we got the Teriyaki chicken, Duck, and chicken curry. As usual. It was amazing. It’s fancy and super good. We got the best service from Fernando, and Adrian went out of his way to make sure we were take care of. This is the reason why Reef 28 is known for the best food in all of Playa Del Carmen.
A great place to spend a day at the rooftop pool with food and drinks! You can get day-pass access to the rooftop pool area of Reef 28 with a minimum consumption (as of current, 500 pesos from Monday to Thursday, 700 pesos from Friday to Sunday. Prices are posted and updated on their website). I believe it is the cheapest minimum consumption for rooftop pool access from PDC's nicer hotels. The live DJ is a nice vibe compared to a lot of the hotels/condos in Playa that don't have music playing. There are quite a few loungers and cabana beds in the main pool area, and a handful further away from the pool as well. If a spot opens up while you are there, you are free to move and the staff will accommodate. There is one main pool, with two hot tubs (One of them, the most-right one, was not hot though when we were there). There is also a games area behind the bar area that we didn't notice originally, which has giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and billiards. The staff was very nice during our stay. They come take your order at the pool or at your lounge area and bring everything to you. Our server even gave us a free cocktail! The prices of cocktails are pretty on par with other rooftop bars and beach clubs (most cocktails are 200 pesos, regardless of how simple vs speciality the drink is). The food's affordability has a huge range, with sushi and poke bowls surprisingly being very affordable compared to more traditional bar food like guacamole and burgers. A quick guide on how to access Roof 28 (as someone looking for this information a few days ago): When entering the hotel lobby, there is a doorman that stops you and asks you where you are headed. If you tell him you want to go to the rooftop pool, he will ask you to write down your name and he will take note of your entry time (probably for security reasons). He led me to the elevator and clicked the RG button for us. Once you are upstairs, they will tell you about the rules for the minimum consumption, and tell you to choose a spot you would like to set down your things. Once you are settled, they will come with a card machine to charge you your minimum consumption upfront. You can then order food and drinks (there is a menu with prices linked on the @theRoof28 instagram page) and it will be deducted from the minimum consumption you already paid. If you spend over the minimum consumption, you will be asked to pay the difference at the end. Service/tips are not included, and the minimum is 15% (they requested this of me in cash only. Not sure if this would still be the case if I had to pay a difference in my consumption through card as well). If you're looking for a resort vibe and prefer rooftop pools over beach clubs, Roof 28 is a great place for that!
