Usually I would give this a star because we have always had good service. This time though is kinda eh. They called us and asked us if we wanted to switch to a twin bed room instead of a queen room as they were trying to accommodate new guests. We agreed, though we would have preferred the queens, but we got about off for being moved to the twin bed. unfortunately, we end up in a room flights up stairs high and above... View all feedback.
What Jeffrey S doesn't like about Mykels Restaurant/Soldotna Inn:
This restaurant was overpriced for food that can be best describe as mediocre. If you want prime rib and scallops that are fair, and halibut that is over cooked, and pay very high prices, you might like this place. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for a nice meal. But when you pay a lot in the mail it’s not good, you don’t leave with a good feel I’m good feeling. View all feedback.
Great place to stay. Simple room. Front desk clerk very friendly and helpful. Town is beautiful
It was a simple stay. Clean. Nice staff. We weren't there long but nice for the area. Restaurant and bar on site seem popular
No heat in the room and no thermostat found. No instructions who to call after hours. We arrived at pm, the desk clerk locked up and left before we unlocked our room. The next morning the desk clerk searched our room and found the thermostat hid behind the TV. The supervisor explained they hide the thermostat to keep guests from messing with it. No refund as the supervisor explained there was an operational thermostat in the room. The carpet was dirty and stained and the eating area was unclean and too many people were allow in the breakfast area without masks.

We agreed, though we would have preferred the queens, but we got about off for being moved to the twin bed. unfortunately, we end up in a room flights up stairs high and above the part of the restaurant where they are having a live concert of sorts and we can hear it from below late at night, making it hard for our toddler and me (light sleeper mom) to fall asleep (and thank goodness our infant can sleep through anything) Other than that the rooms look great and service is awesome as usual. We will come again in future as we always do
Let’s start with the chowder hearty and a unique lemony ting! Loved it! I tend to taste every dinner at the table so I can comment on the following prime rib (mine) scrumptious rack of lamb (14yr old son) delectable basil pasta with chicken (16 year old son) decadent fish fry (hubby who doesn’t share) said it was awesome! But, down to the nitty gritty the basil gimlet the bourbon smash were both a reason the come back for! Bravo!!
