During our stay, we visited To To and enjoyed a delicious meal. While the dumplings and poppy rolls were tasty, the marinated tomatoes were the highlight for us. We also purchased some Russian sweets to take home with us. View all feedback.
What Jake T doesn't like about Mom's Europen Food Deli:
The selection of Russian and European candies and foods here is great. I tried the sandwich here (they only have one sandwich). It was sausage, bologna, American cheese, mayo and cheap tasting bread. It reminded me of the labels that used to be on medicine drawers as a kid, you know, with the green sick face? Don't get their sandwich. Why would you get a sandwich here? What are you thinking? Good food. I had the chicken dumplings and got some strange delicious Russian cheeto things. all kinds of unique foods here. I will definitely try again!
This place is a real treat. Definitely a bit of an anomaly, but then so is Soap Lake. Still amazed this area hasn't turned into a major attraction, but maybe it gets too hot for some. Anyway, this deli specializes in eastern european packaged and deli goods, which isn't familiar to most Americans. The real treat of this place, however, is the special baked goods of the day, which can be anything from a turnover to sandwiches to pastries. mom' knows how to make a good special of the day, and they are always a treat. Very affordable. Treat number two, or number one depending on your preference is also fresh bread, local tomatoes in summer, and top quality butter for an excellent picnic. The name doesn't include that this is also a bakery, but get there before mid afternoon, or the baked goods may be gone. Also good place to pick up an ice cream and a mineral water. Been there for a while, hope it never goes away. A real lynchpin in Soap Lake's limited but solid list of attractions.
Wow. This place is a hidden gem! I've been back a couple times for lunch. The pelmeni has been fantastic, and the baked goods and snacks are always delicious. The lunch menu is small, but every choice is great. This place is definitely worth a stop if you're passing through Soap Lake!
Authentic Russian food, lots of Russian/ Ukrainian sweets. Dumplings were good, the light rye bread was Russian style, very similar to Winnipeg Rye that we get in Whole foods in Vancouver, BC.
My favorite European deli by far! Food is excellent the owners family are wonderful. Lots of selection to choose from if shopping as well. A must go to place if in Soap lake.
