Toot's Smyrna

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was the best dining experience we've had in a while. The menu had a fantastic selection and the service was outstanding. Keep in mind that you have to order food at the bar, but that's to be expected in a casual dining setting. I highly recommend trying the beer cheese and pretzels and the loaded sidewinder fries.

I visited this restaurant on 9/6 for a birthday drink by myself. The patrons were friendly. ZOE and JEN did a fantastic job tending the bar, and they poured the perfect Guiness. They deserve [insert staff request here]! A note for management: I prefer darker, thicker beers that you need to drink with a knife and fork. I would also be interested in having a karaoke night. If those options were available, I would probably become a regular customer, visiting at least once a month if not every other week.

This used to be one of my favorite spots in Smyrna, but I've been having negative interactions with the staff this year. I'm not sure what's going on. I always thought this was a laid-back place with friendly service. There's no need to get snobby about beer and pub food. Just relax. Providing service with a smile can make a big difference. And no, I won't bother reaching out to the manager to talk about it. I have a job to take care of as well.

This quirky little restaurant in a strip mall may surprise you. I don't understand the negative reviews – it seems like someone may have had their feelings hurt. The bar has about 10 seats, so there might be a wait for a drink. It seems like there are only bartenders, so you may have to order at the bar even if you're at a table. It can be a bit annoying, but that seems to be their way of doing things. There are usually two or three bartenders who are knowledgeable about the beers they serve. They also have a cooler where you can select your own beer. I didn't see anyone eating, so I didn't ask for a menu, but then I saw food being served. I think there might be a QR code or something that I missed, because everyone seemed to know what they wanted to eat without looking at a menu. A special shoutout to the attractive female bartender who knows how to handle difficult customers.
