Chicago Express - Smyrna

We're originally from Chicago with a craving for Chicago food and Chicago Express did not disappoint! Love me a good pizza puff!

I'm from Chicago and was craving an Italian beef sammich. Since I was in the area and heard good things about Chicago Express, I thought I'd stop in for lunch.Idk if she was having a bad day or a bad life, but the owner should rethink who they have at the front counter. What a sour puss! Doesn't the owner realize that the first encounter with a place will leave a lasting impression? She definitely did! I had high hopes for the Italian beef! And it failed miserably. It's lunch meat in beef juice. Perhaps I shouldn't have compared it to real Italian beef Maxwell Street, Portillo's, Buona Beef or Pop's. Now that is some good beef! I will not be returning to Chicago Express. It's too bad the negative reviews of the place don't prompt the owner to take action.

Great spot! I really enjoyed the food; it was my first time trying it. I'll definitely be coming back!

I visited on a Wednesday for their buy one, get one free burger night. We ordered a burger but didn't receive the free one. When I inquired about the deal, I was informed that it only applies on Wednesdays.

Chicago Express is my go-to place for a grilled chicken salad. I usually prefer darker leafed salads, but theirs is great with iceberg!
