I have old childhood memories from when my mom worked at Pockets decades ago and I love going there specifically for their fried mushrooms because many places do not offer them anymore and everything else you order here is just bonus deliciousness! I’m so glad that it is still around and every time I am in town I will be eating here at least once. Their burgers are slamming. So hot, you gotta be careful! I’ll be back soon! Can’t wait to take my child one day on the playscape!! Kid-friendliness: There is a playscape outside!

During my travels and performances in Bastrop, I stopped by this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. I opted for a salad to stick to my vegan diet, and the staff was very accommodating, making sure there were no meat products included.

We visited Smithville for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the extensive and delicious menu at fair prices. I ordered a hamburger for about $10, fries for $2.50, and a drink for $3. They even have a condiment bar set up in a car trunk, which reminded me of Fuddruckers! The restaurant is clean, with a variety of table sizes, and there is a separate room for Lions Club members that was available while we were there. They also have a nice outdoor covered porch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. We will definitely return and highly recommend that you check it out! Vegetarian options include burgers, salads, and tacos. As for parking, there's plenty of open space available. It's kid-friendly, though the interior dining area is a bit small, so children need to be well-behaved. The outdoor porch seating is perfect for kids, and there's a small play area as well. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with a ramp, although the condiment bar is elevated and may be a bit tricky to access.
