I don't understand why some people judge it based on i... read more I've been coming to Empire Ginger for years, and it's hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I don't understand why some people judge it based on its appearance, as many takeout places aren't always modern. The flavors are amazing, and everything is always fresh. The sesame chicken is made with juicy white meat and has fantastic flavor—not chewy like at most other places.

I didn’t eat here myself—I just picked up an order to deliver to a customer. In my opinion, a restaurant should feel welcoming and at least have a decent couch, not one covered in holes and held together with duct tape. It didn’t give off a “I really want to eat here” vibe. Honestly, you’d probably want to walk away too.

Their extensive menu features unique dishes that are consistently excellent. As someone very picky about Chinese cuisine, I can confidently say Empire Ginger ranks among the top three on Long Island. I especially love the Four Seasons with spinach, but all the seafood and dim sum are absolutely outstanding. Truly a local gem worth enjoying!
