Butera's - Smithtown
Butera's
Description
Butera's, a beloved Italian restaurant in Smithtown, has garnered mixed reviews. While some diners praise its authentic atmosphere, generous portions, and excellent service, others point to inconsistent management and a less-than-ideal ambiance. Signature dishes like Nona's lasagna and chicken meatballs receive high marks, alongside decent seafood options. However, reports of undercooked steaks and unhelpful staff occasionally mar the experience. Still, for many, Butera's remains a go-to destination, featuring a diverse menu that promises to satisfy both couples and groups alike. Despite the criticisms, the delicious food often compels guests to return, making it a staple in the local dining scene.

Our waitress Nicole was great. So sad that Butera’s closed in Smithtown. Just glad I was able to go there on their last weekend.
The occasion was is the date. The food was excellent and the service was superb, it’s just a shame that they’re closing the doors in Smithtown, but we will continue to go in Woodberry.
The food is always amazing. It was a little loud, however bar area seemed to be a little quieter which was nice. Our bartender Chris was hysterical and made the night even more enjoyable. I hope Chris can be acknowledged in some way. Lastly, Dana the waitress who kept coming up to bar area had a fun personality.
The food is always good, service is top notch too. it can get a bit noisy if there is a crowd. family style servings are generous but go with more than 2 people or you will take home tomorrows lunch.
