Reviews - Wolfe's Den
Reviews summary
The Smithsburg tavern is a renovated, cozy hometown watering hole mixing nostalgia with fresh updates—new counters, floors, lighting and bathrooms—while keeping wallet-friendly prices and hearty bar food. Regulars praise welcoming staff, icy drafts, crispy pizza, parm-garlic wings, pool tables, pull-tabs/keno, an iTunes jukebox and multiple TVs for sports. Lively and communal, it’s ideal for groups, game nights and casual meals, though service can be stretched at peak times and patrons should be mindful of payment/tipping practices.

So cozy! Covid closure made time for renovation and it really shows! We visited here intermittently before Kovid and it was always a pleasant visit. Our visit today was even better. New counters, new pool table felt, new lighting, new floor and new bathrooms were all wonderful. The service was impeccable and the crispy pizza right at the bar was delicious. Keno, drag tabs, billiards, football on multiple screens and... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Wolfe's Den:
The bartender and friends play tricks, they used a tablet for payment and didnt tell me I could just leave without signing or settling a tip... lies about someone having bought me a drink, understaffed and turns out rambunctious, possibly poisoned people. View all feedback.

Thursday nights are the best time to visit! I think it's their pool league night, otherwise you might need some luck for it to be as lively...
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the pickle shots were amazing! Everyone in our group had a blast.
Without a doubt, the best bar in America! The food is fantastic, the people are wonderful, and the beers are always ice cold. It's the perfect place for a lively atmosphere!

This is a charming city tavern, a beloved spot that truly feels like a hometown watering hole. It's a great place with wonderful people, especially Mrs. Pat, who everyone knows and who always offers a warm welcome.
Great atmosphere, an amazing place to have a social meeting. They have pool tables, pickle shots, pull tabs and amazing food. The staff is welcoming and also the locals. The (fresh) parm garlic wings are my personal favorite.
On a bustling Thanksgiving Eve, I found myself surrounded by many Smithsburg graduates and their parents. The bar offers a nice selection of draft beers, and the bar food is quite satisfying, especially the fries. I suspect that there might be more space available on a non-holiday evening.
The management was poor, the food was not good, the drinks were poorly prepared, and the bartender was particularly unfriendly.
