Was Kirstin Szoo at Tacocat a mag?
The food and drinks were fantastic, and our server was exceptional—so friendly and attentive! The view of the cove from inside was beautiful, and we really appreciated that they stayed open a bit later than other places in the area on a Sunday. We will definitely return before we leave! What LanceWilcox dislikes about Tacocat:
When you glance at the menu, you might wonder if the choices are as limited as they seem. Unfortunately, they really are. Tacos, burritos, and quesadillas make up the entirety of the offerings—no enchiladas, no chili rellenos, and no fajitas in sight. To make matters worse, their margaritas are weak and overly lemony. While the tacos are decent, they aren't enough to sustain the menu on their own. If they're going to... View all feedback.

Amazing setting and the outdoor patio is beautiful Service was friendly, accommodating, and prompt Food was great: we went on Taco Tuesday half price. Amazing value. the dessert fingers were a perfect end to the meal. The setting decore is so perfect: not Mexican, more like you would expect at a high end golf course.

Looking for a spot for dinner and Mexican food sounded good. Really happy we decided to stop in... And especially enjoyed the small sharing platter $36). Tasty combinations and a good selection for the two of us. Our two favorites were the bean and guacamole taco and the chicken flautas. Sweet place, excellent service, great food and beautiful view.

Cold chips and seaside messes! My family and I recently dined at TacoCat during our Smith 's Cove vacation, and I must say, the experience left a lot to be desired. From the very beginning, the visit didn 't quite meet our expectations.I started with a simple request: a small bowl of plain chips with salsa on the side. However, what followed was a truly baffling ordeal. The server took a full hour to bring me the chips, and when they finally arrived, they were shockingly ice cold. To make matters even more perplexing, the explanation given was that the chips needed to be heated up in the oven. It 's hard to understand why such a simple request would require such a long wait and an oven treatment. The menu posed further challenges. With only Mexican drink options available, we found ourselves having to request custom drink concoctions. We eventually settled on Dirty Shirley 's, hoping for a flavorful choice. Sadly, our hopes were dashed as the drinks turned out to be excessively strong and not at all to our liking. Regrettably, through a painful scratchey process, the drinks ended up in the ocean much like the chips I had eaten. Fish food now!

The staff here is super friendly and there is a really nice view. The food is ok. Honestly there aren’t many options nearby so you get what you get. The guacamole seems to be grocery store bought and in a tiny cup. Salsa is not much better. I would put this in the category of “white people tacos” and not authentic Mexican as is advertised. They have many hot sauces to try.
