The Greens Pub - Smithfield

The Greens Pub Restaurant only serves pizza. There are no other meals on the menu. Moreover, they only offer a choice of 6 pizzas. On the night we dined, they had run out of most toppings and couldn't produce 3 of the 6 pizzas so we were limited to meat or cheese. No mushrooms, no feta, no onions or any other fresh produce which we were told was difficult to get in the area. The hygiene left a lot to be desired. The towel in the bathroom looked as if it hadn't been changed in 6 weeks, three different chefs came out to chat and touched our dogs only to return to the kitchen to handle the food without washing their hands and there were bones lying everywhere outside around the braai where we were initially sitting out of courtesy to ensure our dogs didn't disturb the other guests. However, the owner and staff were very friendly and happy to allow us to bring our little sausage dogs inside to eat. Wow. Smithfield and it’s people. As friendly as it gets and The Greens Pub and restaurant takes me back to my fathers old English public house establishments. The home made burger swallowed up in the amazing home baked rolls were to die for. Ya gotta go!!!!!
