I had a wonderful dining experience at this cozy pub. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from. My steak was cooked to perfection. The average price per person was between CA$30-40. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 4 out of 5. View all feedback.
What Wilbert O'Hara doesn't like about Alpenhorn Bistro & Bar:
Food was greasy, the hamburger we had was full of fillers, and greasy. The salad I had with in house dressing was good. The service was so so, the waitress acted like she wanted to be anywhere but there working. The price of the food...and what you get is ridiculous. Very disappointed in the meal here. Nice place. I guess it is trendy, and people do buy into that, good or bad. I would not return. As we left and got d... View all feedback.
Nice decor and clean. Nice Local experience. Food was good and staff Friendly. Service dog friendly on their patio.
I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible, the server was rude and aggressive, and the food was mediocre considering the high prices. The long island iced tea was not good at all. I was so disappointed and felt like I would have been treated even worse if I had complained. I do not recommend dining here.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! As someone with celiac disease, I was pleased to see they offer a variety of gluten-free options. I enjoyed the beef dip sandwich without any problems. I'm excited to come back again soon! Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten-free choices.
If I could leave no star for the service I would! Worst service ever waitress slammed down drinks and food on table and never bothered to ask how the meal was or offer more drinks. Food was good. Will not be back very disappointing coming into what I thought was the best restaurant in town. What a joke!
Horrible service, woman serving us (seating of about 12) was rude when I asked for a soda to drink halfway through the meal she was hard to get ahold of (which i would understand if it was busy but it wasn't too bad) then she was snarky and rude about that. I ordered the chicken strips and it was VERY oily and left a small puddle, a few others ordered fish and chips and they also said it was very oily and that the fish itself was pretty bad and was definitely pre-frozen, and the fries that were served were decent but they weren't made in house like you would expect for the price of the meals and were Cavendish fries (Costco food court fries). At the end of the meal, we wanted to sit around for at most 20 minutes, and before we could even finish our drinks, we were kicked out by the server and to the curb, I don't think a table that just spent upwards of 500$ should be booted out. The restaurant itself was pretty and was just a classic pub-style restaurant. If you're going for a beer or a cup of wine with a few friends during a game and just that, it's probably fine, but of your expecting a good sit down dinner just go ANYWHERE else, you can get better, not worth it in my opinion.
