My family and I had lunch there and it took ages to get our food. Service was slow and the burgers weren't cooked well enough. Had stomach pains later but not sure if it was the burgers or not. Put me off going again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$40–60 View all feedback.
I was pulled to this restaurant by happy cow, because the Bluff says it has a halloumi burger that would have been for my Vego partner, but they don't have that fool! Apart from that, the food is good. It is very good, real ingredients. The Veggie Burger was a bit abandoned for us as it was mainly sweet potatoes, but the Burrito was delicious, the sauces incredibly homemade vegan Mayo!
Several vegan options and everything we ordered was really delicious. There would be 5 stars if I could. Nice staff, said the cook was vegan and makes all their own Mayo etc.. had the spicy Tofu Burger, spicy beans Burrito and juice of the day. They also had veggie burgers, salads, burrito bowl, some vegan slices etc. would recommend and go down there again hands.
This cafe uses home made fresh ingredients and the staff are super helpful with vegans. The cook is vegan, which really helps! The tofu scramble in a crepe was absolutely delicious and my other half loved his Burrito bowl. They also offer frozen vegan dishes such as soups and curries. If you want a good value, inviting, delicious fresh food experience The Good Food Store will not disappoint. By far the best place for vegans for miles round.
I say in the middle of nowhere as a tongue in the cheek. Smiths Lake is a very beautiful area, but a bit out of the way. After a walk in Booti Booti National Park South of Forster we were looking for some options and stumbled on this 5km away from where we were. Well worth the 5km drive I have to say. Super accomodating staff, very attentive to know that we were happy, good choices, I was very happy and very full to be honest. Vegan items include Super Salad, Black Bean Burrito Bowl and a Black Bean Burrito, simple chips and sweet potato chips. Excellent value. We went back a few weeks later, again great food, great staff, wish this was local for me. In conversation with them the secret ingredient is a vegan cook... that will do it, someone who knows what good food should be. Updated by previous rating on 2021-06-01
Trying to find vegan options in the Smiths Lake area is a little difficult, but thankfully the Good Food Store delivers and with multiple options, giving you a choice. I had the sweet potato scallop burger which was inexpensive, delicious, and filling. Loved all the fresh ingredients on the burger too.
