I’m extremely disappointed with the p... read more Today at lunch, I ordered a simple smash burger meal at 1:07 PM (I have the receipt), but didn’t receive it until 2:00 PM. I’m extremely disappointed with the poor service from the staff. The food caused me to be half an hour late for work, arrived cold, and half of my order was missing—chilli cheese bites only take two minutes to prepare. The meal was bland, and the photos don’t even capture how bad it really was. On top of that, the chef was rude and didn’t prioritize my order. Since we ordered separately, he decided to hold all the orders until everyone’s food was ready, making the wait unbearably long and frustrating. The wings were full of flavor and incr... read more Fantastic value with incredible food. Tried their brioche burger, 6 wings, 3 lamb chops, 3 ribs, chips, and waffle fries. The wings were full of flavor and incredibly tender, falling right off the bone. The ribs were impressively large with a rich BBQ taste. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The burger was good, though I’d personally add a bit more seasoning, but still enjoyable. The atmosphere is clean and a good size for families. Service was great despite being quite busy. Definitely would visit again when in Birmingham. The bearded owner always took good care of us, ensuring the service and food were excellent. However, the last few visits have been terrible, especially the most recent one, since the owner hasn’t been around. A guy named Normand took our order and seemed like he had just woken up, showing a bad attitude. When my friend and I asked for recommendations, he replied, "You know what's good." When we requested our usual order—the one the owner always made for us—he flatly said no, which is understandable since it’s not on the menu. My friend then suggested we go elsewhere to Pepe’s, who offer what we wanted, and Normand responded, "Yeah, I don’t care, go," which explains why the place was completely empty—a very unprofessional way to treat customers. We asked another staff member to send the manager over, but he pretended to be too busy, making food for himself instead of attending to us. He never bothered to come. The whole experience was shocking, especially for regulars who visited almost daily. Despite all this, my hungry friend insisted we stay and order. When the food arrived, the chicken portion in the rice box was much smaller than usual—and it was burnt! The shop was freezing inside, despite heaters being around; it seemed like the staff were trying to cut costs. The owner needs to return and restore this place to how it used to be, immediately.
