The pub garden is a wonderful spot to explore on your own, and taking a stroll around Smarden and visiting the church is a must. The 14th-century timber-framed houses are beautiful, and the walks through the fields are delightful. Our hostess, Gwen, was very welcoming and has created a charming medieval-themed pub with a lush garden.
