The Bell - Smarden

Decided to stop here for dinner after the airshow (fri) and although we do not book, the waitress was friendly enough to fit us. we sat in the beautiful garden on beautiful garden furniture. eating was very good quality with beautiful little touches. very generous portioning and good value for money. both waitresses were friendly and checked that we are satisfied with our eating. a lot of parking space too. will definitely be back.

Lovely pub. Met up with a friend for dinner there and food was excellent as was the service. quaint surroundings and felt like a 'proper ' pub. Will stop by again when I next visit the area

Nice pub, inside and out. We found the bar staff very friendly, especially Courtney. It is mainly frequented by regulars, so it can be a bit intimidating when you first walk in the very small bar. The food we had was very good and the restaurant is large with a lot of room, but still cosy. The kitchen usually closes around 7pm and hours can be a bit hit and miss. The biggest downside was they frequently run out of bitter and it can take a week to get it back.

Nice quiet pub, perfect or an impromptu lunch (although I was there on a Wednesday lunch time. For all I know it could be heaving on a Friday night). Food was excellent and the staff are nice and friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
