Located next to a Holiday Inn, this restaurant received mixed reviews. Diners were disappointed with cold food, poor customer service, and overpriced, mediocre meals. However, some found the staff friendly, prices reasonable, and food satisfactory. The restaurant serves as a convenient option for those staying at the hotel but lacks ambiance and consistency in quality. Some recommended exploring other dining options in the area for a better experience. Overall, the restaurant could benefit from improvements in food quality, service, and overall customer experience to attract repeat customers.

What Ktyle dislikes about Tratts:
When you arrive at 7pm having crawled down the M4 for hours with a hungry 15 year old in tow, to find the pizza restaurant you’d booked as a ‘first night of holiday treat’ is in darkness with no notification and for no apparent reason, I’m afraid a limp lettuce salad bar and tired ‘help yourself’ chilli for £13.95 a head doesn’t really cut it. We opted for the M&S Food at the petrol station over the road. Disappointi... View all feedback.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is a good price and cooked well. The wine too is good and not badly priced.
My son and I recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dining here one evening. It did surprise me that we were able to walk in and be seated straight away. The restaurant was virtually empty and now I understand why! Your waiter was extremely rude. I was presented with a bill which he clearly didn’t want me to check and he placed it at the opposite side of the table to me. I’m not sure my 8 year old son had the funds to foot our £55 bill for just the two of us. Anyway the price wasn’t the issue. There were two desserts on our bill which we hadn’t ordered. I explained this to him and eventually he took it to the female waitress in there who came across for me to explain again! I explained and she printed out a new bill. Your rude waiter brought this across and whilst I sat there checking it he stood next to me and huffed aloud! How rude. I stopped what I was doing and asked if he had a problem with me checking a bill which he had already presented incorrectly! I had the sirloin. It was awful. Their version of a salad was lettuce on my plate! My advice would be not to eat here. It certainly wasn’t worth the £55 for one adult and one child meal. I might add I only had one large glass of wine! I asked for a liqueur coffee with Brandy but they said that they couldn’t do that!!! If you insist on eating here then check your bill. My extra two desserts would have cost me nearly an extra £10! Needless to say we won’t be back.
I dined at this restaurant last night out of necessity as it is located next to the Holiday Inn Express where I was staying. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my meal. The Italian grilled chicken I ordered was nothing like I expected - it was dry and overcooked, served with an abundance of fries and a small portion of salad. To make matters worse, I had trouble paying as they do not accept card payments and I had to go through a hassle of verifying my residency with the hotel reception. Additionally, I was charged a 10% service fee, bringing the total cost for my unsatisfactory meal to over £16. The restaurant lacks ambiance, friendly service, and is overpriced. It tries to pass itself off as an Italian restaurant, but the quality of the food was more reminiscent of a roadside rest stop. I will not be returning anytime soon. I recommend heading into Colnbrook village for a meal at a pub or grabbing a sandwich from M&S Simply Food across the street instead.
During our stay at the hotel, we decided to dine at this restaurant on our first night instead of venturing to the all-you-can-eat buffet in the main hotel restaurant or searching for another dining option. The prices were reasonable and the food and service were satisfactory. I particularly enjoyed my pasta and antipasto starter, and the children liked their kids' meals. I would return to this restaurant if staying at the hotel again.
This restaurant can be summed up by the service we received. When the server brought out the Hawaii pizza, instead of offering Parmesan cheese, he asked if we wanted ketchup! The pizza was good, but the tagliatelle was not so great. The service was lacking, partly due to the staff's limited English skills. When we tried to use a free dessert voucher from their website, we had to print it off first. Despite agreeing that the offer was only for one dessert, they brought out two desserts. The original server said it was fine, but the server who brought the bill was rude and demanded payment for one of the desserts. Overall, if you are staying at the hotel and have limited dining options, this restaurant is reasonable in terms of food and prices. However, I can't imagine non-hotel guests choosing to eat here.
