The Hideaway
Description
Nestled in a quaint locale, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from diners. Some patrons raved about the delicious breakfast options, highlighting perfectly cooked dishes like skillets and biscuits and gravy, paired with fresh fruit cups and friendly service. However, many others voiced significant concerns, reporting issues like greasy food, lack of cleanliness, and disorganized service. Complaints ranged from unappetizing meals to ambiance problems, with flies and an unpleasant atmosphere detracting from the overall experience. While some enjoyed the food and warmth from the staff, the establishment clearly needs to address its consistency and quality to enhance its reputation.

The service at this restaurant was quick and friendly. I really enjoyed the crispy, seasoned hash browns and the perfectly cooked bacon and eggs. The dining experience was great and the breakfast meal was in the price range of $10-20 per person. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere was rated a 4.
The hideaway should really be hidden away. The coffee looked like black mud and tasted bad when stirred. The jelly on the table was solid and the orange juice smelled old. The cream of wheat was lumpy. I couldn't help but think of restaurant rescue or kitchen nightmares. They were pushing the fruit cups a lot. We were the only people in the restaurant, which made me worried. When I checked reviews, there weren't many good ones. The restaurant wasn't very clean and looked disorganized. The waitress was okay, but had a dry personality. I normally don't write reviews, but this one needed it. The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, and the staff provides excellent service. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone!
Always a pleasant experience. Leah, one of the servers, is fast, efficient, and very attentive and friendly. Kelly, the owner, makes the best omelets and potato pancakes! This is a small, family owned breakfast diner. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, open 8 am 2 pm Wednesday through Sunday.
