The cafe is situated in a stunning location with amazing views of the mountains. However, we were disappointed with the BLTs we ordered as the tomatoes were cut too small and the bacon was also small, making it difficult to eat without everything falling out. For a better BLT experience, we recommend trying Shells cafe in Strandhill for larger bacon and big slices of tomato. We dined outside, and although it was empty, there were many dirty tables which detracted from the overall experience. It was strange to see the staff bringing out coffees while ignoring the dirty tables. A simple fix would greatly improve the ambiance. The selection of cold drinks was limited to just coke and concentrated orange juice, lacking in better artisan options. With some improvements, this place has the potential to be much better.

Cute little café, very child-friendly with a large children's corner, homemade cakes and very tasty and fresh tea

Plenty of choices, especially the freshly cooked cakes Obviously like everywhere else (and touristy) prices are high, but then the waterfall and parking is free so you have that money over to get nice food/coffee Very friendly staff but maybe some stream lining or a second till as I was about ten minutes behind a group getting served Well worth a visit

Nestled next to the stunning Glencar Waterfall, this charming café offers a delightful escape with breathtaking views of the lake. Guests can enjoy a variety of treats, from fresh scones to hearty lunches, all served with a friendly smile—though service can be a tad slow during busy times. The outdoor seating is perfect for sunny days, complemented by a small playground for children. Patrons rave about the attentive staff and delicious menu options, including custom requests. Whether stopping for coffee, afternoon tea, or a light bite, the café is a perfect addition to any visit to this picturesque locale.

Beautiful caffe right next to glencar waterfall. it had cake, tee, coffee, ice cream and snacks. there are tables before the caffe with a fantastic view. we went there on a sunny day and it was amazing. cooler place to have something after the glencar waterfall. parking is on the street. it also has toilets for customers.

Euro for coffee and pastry after a couple of hikes. Service was great and food delicious.

I tried chai latte and carrot cake, while carrot cake is usual chai latte absolutely different and authentic, personal are friendly and they shared the chai prep and they use a syrup with special technique instead of regular powder-based mixtures

Great location, really nice eating and personal, was a little slow for eating, but was all good

Visited this place recently during the trip to glencar. excellent coffee! worth visiting if they are in the opposite!

Lovely spot beside Gencar Waterfall. Homemade scones, tray bakes and cakes. Freshly made sandwiches, salads, quiche and soup. Outdoor seating with spectacular views of Glencar lake and valley. Short walk from Devil’s Chimney. Free parking but does get very busy especially at weekends and holidays. Friendly and polite staff. Always a pleasure to visit.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the Oreo milkshake. The view of the waterfall was also a highlight. It was great to see that there is a playground for the kids and a bench area for relaxation. I highly recommend this place.

Perfectly situated next to Glencar Waterfall, Teashed is an ideal spot to visit after a short walk to the falls. Their scones were delicious and a great way to refresh yourself.

Seven of us called around 12:30 last Monday. The place was very busy, and we had to wait in line, but the staff remained cheerful despite the pressure. They were smiling, courteous, and friendly, working efficiently to serve everyone as quickly as possible. We got a table and enjoyed delicious food, as always. Please extend our thanks to the entire team for their hard work and excellent service. Well done, Teashed—wishing you continued success!

We stopped by Teashed after visiting Glen Car Waterfall. As someone with coeliac disease, I wasn’t hopeful about finding something to eat, but I was pleasantly surprised. The soup was delicious, served in a large, piping hot bowl, and was both gluten and dairy free. My husband had a chicken sandwich that was so big he had a hard time finishing it (though he did!). The best part for me was discovering they offer gluten-free bread, so I enjoyed a lovely chicken salad sandwich. They prepared my meal separately with great care to avoid cross-contamination. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the lake, making it a fantastic spot for lunch. There’s also a lovely playground outside for the kids. A big thank you to the wonderful ladies who served us and made it possible for me to enjoy a gluten-free meal. Well done, and see you next time!

Me and my sis treated my Nan to afternoon tea here last weekend and it was such a special moment. My Nan is still talking about the fuss that was made of her from the wonderful staff and the treats that were baked and prepared. We couldn't finish them and had to bring them home for the boys. Thank you so much to the kind Manager and attentive staff for being so accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back

Enjoyed a lovely visit at the Tea Shed, super coffee but to my husbands delight a place to have proper tea.....THE best green tea, so nicely explained and enjoyed. The cake was lovely too. A great place to stop, and if you have little people they are really well catered for which is a welcome change, beautiful safe play area so all can have a good time
