The Shack - Slatington
The Shack
Description
**Dining Experience at The Shack: A Mixed Review**
The Shack serves up a typical American menu, with enjoyable, if unexceptional, food and outstanding service. Patrons appreciate the cleanliness and reasonable prices of this long-standing establishment. The friendly bartenders contribute to a pleasant atmosphere, complemented by a heated outdoor seating area, perfect for gatherings. However, a juxtaposition of experiences reveals a troubling undercurrent; some diners reported discomfort due to unsettling behavior and an overwhelming atmosphere. The restaurant's mixed reputation implies that while many cherish their time here, others feel marginalized, reminding us that a welcoming environment is as essential as good food and service.

This place was creepy, knew it was creepy and acted like I was the bad guy. As a person who had issues with creepy men as I walked home from school, this place sure did have a hand at gossiping about me. I survived three trafficking attempts and one trick to pimp attempt. As a survivor, I would not recommend this place for survivors. Thank God it is shut down. The disrespect from the establishment and staff towards someone just minding their own business is mind boggling and flat out illegal. Absolute dirty mouths. Talking about rim jobs, heroin and attacking me in the mix of what they say. Puke. Low. Care? Owners just threw the drunk drivers out highly intoxicated. They favored thieves and junkies. Discrimination and fear were instilled to insure something, but I don't want to know what. Abhorrent. Owner had mental issues.
I struggle to order anything but the chicken quesadillas with salad. Hits the spot perfect every time : The pizza is also pretty good.
A hidden gem in the valley! I absolutely adore this spot for Sunday breakfast. It's perfect for a first date or even your hundredth.
