I would give 5 stars except for 2 things. I ordered the lunch portion of steak and chicken fajitas with rice, beans, lettuce and Pico de Gallo. First, the beef had so much gristle, only half of it was edible. However, the chicken and beef had a nice grill char adding flavor. The marinade was not very noticeable. Second, the rice had absolutely no flavor. The veggies were perfectly cooked. The refried beans were some... View all feedback.

I live right around the corner and have been here years ago and it was very unmemorable and because I didn’t want to drive 15 mins to my favorite family Mexican Resturant we decided to dine here tonight. We were seated right away and our waitress was friendly and service was good. The food is barely mediocre. The chips are definitely not house made and the guacamole is very mid. I had the steak tacos and they were alright. The margarita was ok. Nothing was terrible but there are so many other better places around. I love music but this place was sooo loud. Like yelling across the table loud. I was a tad disappointed tonight and will make the 15 min drive next time.
The waiters are so kind and they give off a positive vibe! The food is extraordinary and gives a taste of Hispanic culture in a meal! My family’s personal favorite waiter is yolis, but they are all so very sweet! Thanks to the cooks for a delicious meal!
First time visiting and disappointed. We were seated promptly, but then waited roughly 8 minutes for our server. The wait time itself would not have been a big deal, but they were clearly NOT busy. In those minutes we waited, we were ignored by three servers, two food runners, and the two hosts after being seated. Two servers were at the front playing on their phones (a tall guy with brown wavy hair and a young lady with blonde ponytail). A third tall male server walked past and looked at us as he went on. We were then passed by 2 food runners, and observed the two hosts looking at us but doing nothing. We walked out without ever seeing a server for even a drink order, with so many restaurant choices we’re not waiting on poor service. The underlying issue here is the management does not teach their staff to work together. The servers standing around only cared about their table/section and didn’t think twice about teamwork to take care of their customers.
I love Tijuana Joe. it’s my favorite restaurant right now, all is amazing!
Enchiladas were horrible ,no sauce on top. The beef filling looked like it had sat out for days. Smothered in lettuce. Rice was tasteless.
