Центар Бар - Skopje

Good environment. Service could be quicker. Live music was very bad.

As the name says, Centar Bar, located is in the heart of the city. Place is big, and comfortable, and nice to spend time with friends, have a drink, or just a coffee, bite a snack if you are out just for fun, or you can seat and have proper meal with drinks and other beverages for lunch or dinner. There is no special dress code. The only way to experience it, is to visit the place .

I used to be a regular and I decided to go there for nye. First, for the price we were paying we were promised food an drinks but food AND DRINKS were nowhere to be found, and ON NEW YEAR'S. There were only 4 bartenders and 2 waiters and they were doing a good job but 6 people can not serve 300+ people. They had made reservations to 300+ people when clearly the place has capacity for 100-150 people at best. All in all it was terrible experiance and I wouldn't go there ever again.

I arrived with a group of 10 around 20:30. They could easily seat us without reservations, but the place soon filled up. The 3 litre tap beer was great. We had to wait a little for the food, but it was worth it! The food was beautiful, delicious and filling. Communication was a bit difficult, because the waitress couldn't speak English and only the food menu had English translations. It would be wise to translate the local drink names to English in the drink menu or offer several language choices in both menus. You can find cheaper places in Skopje, but the place is affordable to locals, and cheap to visitors from the wealthier countries. You can pay with credit cards, which is a big plus. We were approached by a charity collector, and a little kid who was selling goods. I think it is not appropriate to disturb guests during a meal. Locals were open to donate but these business might seem shady to outsiders, who are wary of scams. Overall, feel free to visit this place, it is worth it!

Trendy place to take a break and have your meal. Tasty food, normal price, good atmosphere. One star missing for bad location of the outside tables...they are almost on the main crowdy street.
