Had luncheon with a large group yesterday and and my only complaint was the service...it took forever to receive our meal. However each and everyone said that the meal was very good and more than enough to take home a goody bag!
My wife and I are regular diners at the Darling Café because they always have delicious meals prepared with the freshest ingredients. The service is great, and so is the relaxing Manhattan style atmosphere. Last Saturday, my wife had anoutstanding grilled scallop dish with pesto and fresh veggies, and I had a fabulous paella dish with clams, shrimp, scallops,and baby octopus sautéed in a rice and chorizo base. Absolutely outstanding! The owners are so friendly and veryaccommodating to your needs. The quality of the food served at this BYOB restaurant is on par with some of the best cityrestaurants, but all right here in Skippack?one of the area?s best kept secrets!
We ate here last night and there was not one redeeming quality of any of the appetizers, salads, or dinners that would have us return. The best dish was the paella special and even that was a 5 out of 10. The ?filet Mignon? was so bad it was returnedafter literally one bite. The restaurant was empty which was a sign. We left and went elsewhere for dessert.
A true hidden gem in Skippack! I dined there for the first time recently, and it was fantastic. We tried both filet dishes, and they were cooked to perfection. I’ve visited numerous times for brunch and lunch as well, and the food is consistently fresh and skillfully prepared. Everything on the menu is delicious. We've never had a disappointing meal and have brought many guests along who were equally impressed.
