The food is fresh. A really nice family cooks it there. Patio is great in summer. Inside is beautiful in winter. Sit on the upper floor above the kitchen in winter if you are one of the people who is always cold in the PA winters. It'll warm you up. We ate there 4-5 times. Great place. It was a while BYOB, unless that has changed recently. Stop and get beer before you leave.
That was a mistake. The cook was passionate about his dishes and didn't hold anything to make us laugh. The specials were from this world!!! Very recommended. Skippack is a great area for food, but this BY FAR is the best in the area. Not to mention the atmosphere we were looking forward to in a Mexican restaurant. The music was perfect and the decor was also suitable:
I really loved this place. We went there on a stormy Saturday night with another couple. We sat in a round table on the first floor. There is more seating available on the second. I could see the cook in action from where I was seating. She was really cool. I ordered Puerco a la Mexicana (Mexican style pork) which was labeled as spicy in the menu. While we waited for the dishes the waitress brought home made nachos with salsa. When the first basket was almost finished, she brought a second one. Really good. The restaurant is BYOB Wich was good because my friend Marcelo brought a bottle of Argentinean Malbec. All the dishes were freshly cooked in the very moment we asked for them. The pork meat mas very tender and the stew was spicy. The good thing is the waitress brought a small plate with thinly sliced habanero peppers .. We all loved the place and agreed to return soon for more. Everyone at the restaurant was very polite and focused to deliver an excellent expense.
My husband and I are fortunate to live in the Skippack area and so close to Mexican fine dining at its best. The hospitality, warmth, and delicious food at Carisma are second to none. We bring our own margaritas and let the wonderful family who runs this restaurant supply the rest. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts are simply the best whether served inside this beautiful restaurant or on the lovely patio in warmer weather.
