What User doesn't like about Skafferiet:
Nice place with friendly service and country style interior. Simple home style food. Almost all are gluten-free and lactose-free, too. Only disappointment was seasoning of the main course or actually lack of it. View all feedback.
We went to their Saturday brunch and it was amazing! Everything was delicious, fresh, and incredibly tasty. They had a large buffet with a variety of cold foods such as salmon, different types of pickled herring, anchovy cheesecake, eggs with shrimp and mayonnaise, a tomato shot, yogurt, various salads, salamis, roast beef, sausage, prosciutto, homemade bread. For the warm options, there were meatballs, and to finish it off, coffee and homemade waffles, profiteroles, panna cotta, lemon meringue pie, and cookies. Everything was made with the chef's personal touch and it was truly incredible!
The staff at this restaurant is very friendly. It tends to get quite busy during lunchtime, so seating can be limited. You may need to find a table first. Lunch service is efficient, with orders taken promptly and food served quickly. A buffet of cheese and bread is available for diners to enjoy. The food is delicious and has a homecooked feel, especially the hearty Swedish dishes. Desserts are limited, with only a few cookie options. In the summer, there are a few outdoor seating options available.
I have been to this restaurant twice with a friend. The first time, I tried the smoked salmon which was recommended by my friend and was delicious. It was tender and flavorful. The second time, I had a chicken burger which was alright, but nothing extraordinary. The salad bar had a good variety to choose from and the buffet salad was tasty. They offered two different flavored waters, watermelon and lemon, which was refreshing in the hot summer weather (30°C). I would like to come back here again, as we attempted to visit for fika on a Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately it was closed.
Perfect lunch with a fresh salad buffet included. the wine is beautiful and explains the local food. Come back!
