This is a really special place! The location is so unlikely it is the last place I woild have expected to find a vegan restaurant. The decor is charming a very homey vibe. You feel like you are in a cosy but spacious living room in an open concept house. The menu is varied but not overly complicated. The homey feeling continues when you see the food being prepared in what looks like an ordinary kitchen just off the dining area. And the food also tastes like very good home cooking! Great quality, great taste and lovingly prepared and served. The plates and glasses and the decor everything combines to make you feel like you are in someone's home a sort of bohemian grandma vibe rules! Great jazz music just accentuates the homey, relaxed, bohemian feeling. Like I said earlier, the food is great and it is only when I ordered the coffee that it struck me that this place is vegan! I am used to cow's milk in coffee and that was not an option. But the rice milk was totally acceptable! This is a very special place and we will be back!
I just went by one day and I had to enter, don't know why. I had the best apple juice in my life. Tasted like my mom's when I was little. During my one mont stay in Castelldefels I went so often I could. I love the old three legged dog, the comfiness of the place, simplicity, weirdness. Best place! Next year, I'm back! Rita, wait for me! Seriously, I loved loved loved the place.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time, finally we made for lunch yesterday. It's in beautiful Port Ginesta. The interior design is a bit different than you'd expect, but very comfy, gives it more of a homey feeling. I thought the menu was quite creative, having some of the regular vegan food, but with a twist. We ordered the patatas bravas with a carrot lemon sauce, which was super nice. We also had rice with a mint pesto, pumpkin gazpacho and for dessert a delicious carrot cake. Service was lovely as well, quality of food was excellent.
I'm not a Vegan but decided to try this restaurant one evening, there were 2 other people in it and there is a reason for that. The food was about the worst I have ever tasted! A bland lasagna and bad beer. Thank Good there are other places to eat in the Port.
This restaurant is testament to the fact that just because you’re a vegetarian doesn’t mean you can cook. First, a few positives. The place is funky, quirky, fun (except for the missing toilet-lid seat! And trying to pull out some toilet paper from the rolls hanging in a twine rope… grrr! The food. The potato “chips” were delicious and the first to come out of the gate. Set the bar high. But then, the descent into culinary garbage began. Out came croquetas so bad that images of cow patties came to mind. I spit it out. The onion soup. No. Just no. Bad. Period. Hope returned when the fake chorizo on bread was brought out. Had to spit it out. Tasted like dirty socks. Not everything was spit out. The rice and pasta dishes were good. Not great. And the server very nice. Bottom line: you don’t go to a restaurant expecting to put things in your mouth expecting them to taste like dirty laundry. It’s such a shame. The restaurant looks out to the sea and boats lined up in merry little rows. We went on a Saturday night and the place was near deserted. So if you go, it’s at your own peril. Bring some mouthwash…
