I wondered how come was it possible , but when you need to have a dinner you don’t think a lots about it. Service was rapid , but it was obviously cause we were only 3 tables at 21h (24/7/23) Foods it’s a medium quality. But when we got the bill we noted somithing bad, ‘Cause they changed all prices indicates in menù (they gave us inside , and showed outside in the board). When we asked explication to waiters and owner ,they answered it’s up to 5% additional terrace fee. May be in this restaurant they had no study mathematics at school? Chicken breast 10,20€ more 5%=10,71 ..we paid 14,20 Burrata 13,9€ more 5%=14,59 …we paid 17,35€ and so on for the rest. So if you don’t wanna have a scam experience … it would better to go to others restaurant just at the side…maybe that’s the reason because is it empty respecte to the other ones?

We had planned a lunch with some friends for Wednesday without realizing that many restaurants in Sitges close on that particular day. We decided to try Síntesi... read more We had planned a lunch with some friends for Wednesday without realizing that many restaurants in Sitges close on that particular day. We decided to try Síntesis, Paseo de La Ribera, for the first time and were advised to make a reservation for four beforehand. We arrived at the restaurant just few minutes before 2:00 o’clock, our reservation time. It was busy but everything looked to run smoothly. We were received by a happy and smiley hostess, Erika, sat down right away, and were handed a “ menu a la carta “ and “menú del día” (17.90 € . Both looked really good and we decided to go with menú a la carta after consulting with Erika. We ordered for appetizers croquetas de jamón y pollo, patatas bravas and pan de vidrio (pa amd tomaquet , and as a main a paella recommended by Erika. Everything was absolutely delicious, the croquettes had a light bechamel and were full of flavor, the bravas were crunchy outside and soft inside and the pa amb tomaquet crunchy and moist. The highlight was the paella, the rice was cooked to perfection and it was generous with seafood (Erika explained that this as the difference between the paella in the menú del día and a la carta, but there is not a change in flavor . In addition, the langostinos were peeled, so no dirty hands, even though the paella came with four small plates with wet towels. Most importantly, it had the flavors of the sea, which means the seafood broth was cooked with fresh seafood and good fresh market products, and cooked slowly so the rice got soak in all those flavors. For desserts we ordered crema catalana and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, coffees and the usual courtesy in Catalonia of chupitos (limoncello or cream of orujo . Everything was to our liking and beyond expectations, the service was super, and the wine a Marqués de Cacerez cuvée excellent. Thank you, Erika and all the staff at Síntesis for a great experience. 35€ per person plus the drinks.
