Nice ambient, excellent food and super friendly staff. Kids loved their french fries so much we will have to return soon. I would definitely recommend to take something of their daily menu.

Super taverna, with Great atmosphere and friendly owner. Typical cretan Kitchen with wide choice of meats and vegetable. Price will be the final positive surprise. Don't miss this pace if you pass by Palekastro!

There are many restaurants in Palekastro, probably some of them are also good, but I am talking about Mythos. This place has a solid kitchen, and you notice it on your table. There are many recommendations I could give, but I think it is enough to say that they serve good, solid Cretan/Greek food. Let me single out the roasted chicken or lamb with lemon, the courgette balls, the imam (aubergine, tomato, potatoes, etc... baked with cheese). A favourite was the dakos, just a piece of hard bread with grated tomato and fresh cheese... so simple, that it can be bad if you don't get it right. And Mythos' dakos is amazing. A meal for two with beer is very affordable. And the staff is lovely!
